UI/UX Designer with a passion for automotive HMI concepts & specifications

For preserial and serial automotive HMI development we are looking for experienced and highly ambitious UI/UX pioneers who are willing to build up knowledge in this business field. Together with our customers we would like to offer products with high usability. Bring in your ideas in early stages of development and iteratively refine them till they are realized as part of serial production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

> Be responsible for the overall human-machine-interface in the cockpit and transform your ideas into rough and fine concepts > Align your HMI concept idea to the overall corporate brand experience and scaling strategy > Develop wireframes, prototypes, design systems, flow- and state charts > Take over the responsibility for HMI concepts which are already in a development phase and align with software developers as part of an agile development team > Derive HMI specifications to initiate RFQs (HMI hard- and software development) > Align HMI requirements with other departments (i.e. Design, Interieur, Ergonomics, Homologation, Legal, …) > Develop functional vehicle mockups together with development partners to demonstrate & align prototypical HMI concepts > Initiate evaluations of prototypical implementations (i.e. expert reviews, usability studies or ergonomic analytics tools) > Analyze user needs and align them with customers’ business goals > Merge the research results and develop personas and customer journeys

REQUIREMENTS

> 4+ years hands-on experience as a UX Designer in the automotive field (focus: HMI development) > 4+ years of professional experience in the development of flow- and state charts as part of concept development > 4+ years experience with legal requirements regarding HMIs for commercial vehicles > 4+ years professional experience in low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototyping (i.e. Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, ProtoPie, Marvel,…) > First experiences with HMI homologation for commercial vehicles > Knowledge of Material Design guidelines > Proficiency in German > Like to work in a dynamic and multicultural team > Comfortable and thriving working in an agile software development environment > Strengths in communication, presentation and collaboration > It is mandatory to submit a Portfolio with UX related projects & contributions
