Senior Android Developer - Automotive

We are looking for experienced and highly ambitious software developers who are motivated to prototype UI concepts for automotive HMIs. Together with our customers in the fields of automotive and commercial vehicles we would like to enable an experience of concepts for in-vehicles HMIs at an earliest possible time within the development process. In order to offer products with high quality short iteration loops are the key to success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

> Be responsible for the prototyping of interactive in-vehicles HMIs based on Android Automotive to visualize vehicle functions as part of the infotainment system > Enable an insightful experience of UI/UX concepts including specific apps, components & services > Integrate functional hardware components (i.e. steering wheel buttons) > Organize, document and report your current task status > Self-reliant way of working with an increased awareness of on-time deliveries

REQUIREMENTS

> University degree in one of the following or comparable studies: Information Engineering, Technical Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering… or a comparable professional training > 4+ years of professional experience with Android Platform (Android SDK, Android Design Guidelines, Architecture, native applications) > 4+ years of experience with Kotlin (Android Studio). Experience with Java and C++ is beneficial. > Experience with Native UI Frameworks and Components > Experience with Android Automotive Development is beneficial > Experience with vehicles BUS systems (i.e. CAN) and signals is beneficial > Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration with UX Designers and product managers > Self-reliant choice of tools and way of working > Domain knowledge or interest in the following domains: Mobility, Connectivity > Deep interest in state of the art test automatization and code reviews > Experience with agile software development and extreme programming, including but not limited to SCRUM, Kanban, Continuous Integration and Deployment > Proficiency in German > Like to work in a dynamic and multicultural team > Strengths in communication, presentation and collaboration
